Battle!

I did this little piece quite a few years ago as a present for my brother.  It was a doodle I inked and then colored in photoshop.  It includes characters such as Poobie the Puffin from Poobtronics, Technor from the online comic Caution Man, a Petey Piranha spoof, and Parl from Parl the Pear.  Also has two no name characters; a fireball shooting mushroom and a snail packing an arsenal.  Drudging this one out of the hard drive brought back memories.  Enjoy!

Image Manipulation Assignment 8

Another great assignment.  Somebody thought to themselves, "Hey whats one of the greatest films ever created?  I know! Indiana Jones!  Let's put show it in IMAX" and then that person was given a million dollars and applauded as the a pioneer genius of the 21st century.  Or not, either way Indiana Jones is hitting the IMAX theatre for a limited time showing and we were tasked to create some movie posters to promote it.  The only requirements were to include the name of the film, the show dates, and the IMAX logo.  (Side note, some students in the class had never seen the film and one was actually quoted as saying, "I thought it was a cheap knock-off of The Mummy".  Faith in humanity -1000)

Image Manipulation Assignment 6

This was the class's first assignment to create an image with Adobe Illustrator.  We pretty much traced existing images and then create a coca cola sports logo.  In my rush to get the final image done I failed to check my grammar...a fatal error on the interwebs.  It has been fixed in a later edition but I can't load it from this computer.

Image Manipulation Assignment 4

  

This was by far my favorite assignment.  The goal was to choose a corporation and make advertisements and a slogan for the marketing campaign.  I chose Sony and created the slogan, "Welcome To Our World".  I aimed at gamers already in Sony's clutches as well as internet savvy individuals.  I figured the campaign could run in magazines such as IGN as well as websites.

What will you do?  I hope the answer was, "Get the gun" and not, "Look at those sweet little garbage weasels".  Assignment three's goal was to create a book cover of our choosing.  I came up with a title before really thinking about a design and this Goosebumps style picture was the abomination that was born.  The only requirements were to have a title and an author.

The of this assignment was to create a piece of currency for the newly created country of VanDamme.  The only requirements were that the glorious president for life had to have a glamor shot on the front and a full body picture on the back.
