Story Boarding Class

So I didn't want to post all my storyboards from class because they are at the very least 60 images long.  Storyboards convey a story through important pictures that animators can take and work from.  It's important to storyboard before animating or filming because it can prevent delays, mistake, and other costly dilemmas that would occur if you just jumped right in without a plan.  It also helps to "plus," or make better, the story and jokes before hand.  I'll just post a couple of images from a few of my storyboards.

In this class we learned important shots and pans such as establishing, close up, zooms, pans, high and low angles, and banana pans.  We also learned about the line of action and direction flow.  Below is the final assignment, in which we had to take a script for the regular show and create an "animatic" which is just a storyboard in video format with sounds.  The point of an animatic is to try and figure out the timing of each shot.
